The 2025 NFL Draft is slowly approaching and for the next month, schools around the country are hosting pro days for athletes to showcase their skills to NFL scouts for the chance of making the roster of an NFL team. On Tuesday, Indiana was the first Power Four school to have their pro day in 2025. After a tremendous season under first year head coach Curt Cignetti, the Hoosiers had a lot of eyes on them. However, only two Hoosiers were invited to the NFL Combine, Kurtis Rourke and CJ West. This left some outstanding Hoosiers like Jailin Walker and Myles Price to showcase their skills during Indiana Football’s Pro Day with the hope of attracting the attention of the NFL scouts who attended.

“It just feels great that NFL [scouts] are actually looking at your game, so it just boosts my confidence. It [sets] the standard. It makes me be the best person I can be,” Jailin Walker said in an interview during Indiana’s Pro Day.

Jailin Walker had a great season with the Hoosiers in 2024 recording 82 total tackles, 10 TFL, 8 passes defended, 2 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. While not receiving an invitation to the Combine, the 6’1” 218-pound linebacker showed off today with a 10’7” broad jump (which would’ve had him tied at 2nd with the linebackers at the 2025 Combine) and a 35” vertical (unofficial numbers). He looked explosive and a lot of NFL personnel took notice of him.

Another outstanding Hoosier in Tuesday’s pro day workouts was wide receiver Myles Price.

“I can tell I definitely opened a lot of eyes, and that’s what I knew I was gonna do,” Myles Price stated in an interview after Tuesday’s workouts.

Price was an all-around player for Indiana last season putting up 466 yards on 38 receptions, 63 rush yards on 7 attempts, 4 total touchdowns, and 289 yards on his 23 punt return attempts (with the longest being 65 yards). He looked exceptional while running routes. He was able to track the ball well and catch everything the 2025 Hoosiers’ QB, Fernando Mendoza, threw his way. He looked fast, and while his official 40 time is not known at this moment, you could tell he had some impressive speed.

When asked about his versatility as an all-purpose guy, Price responded “I mean, I’m a smaller guy. Punt return, kick return, punt, kickoff, whatever you want to put me on. You know, I feel like I can do it all. I can kick the ball if you wanted me to. That’s just who I am. I can do it. I can do everything. Whatever the task is, Myles Price can do it.”

Price really can do it all and is waiting for the chance to hear his name called at the Draft when late April arrives.

There were about 20 Hoosiers showing off their skills today, but the one who seemed to be garnering the most attention was defensive lineman, CJ West. West was one of the few Hoosiers invited to the NFL Combine that occurred last week and his draft stock continues to rise. The 6’2” 317-pound lineman, who had 42 total tackles in 2024, ran a 4.95 40-yard dash becoming the 9th defensive tackle weighing 315 or more pounds to run a sub-5 second 40 yard dash at the Combine. The eyes on him have only increased since his impressive performance at the Shrine Bowl. In Tuesday’s pro day workout, he proceeded to impress scouts by recording an unofficial number of 28 reps at the bench press.

There were many impressive performances during IU Football’s Pro Day with Jacob Mangum-Farrar managing to have 31 reps (unofficial number) with 225 lbs on the bench press, which tied him for third among those who participated in the Combine. Mangum-Farrar looked like an absolute beast on Tuesday. Ke’Shawn Williams also looked great, running routes with precision and recording an unofficial 39” vertical.

Some other impressive (unofficial) bench press stats by the Hoosiers on Tuesday were James Carpenter with 22 reps, Zach Horton with 19 reps, Lanell Carr Jr. with 18, Trey Wedig with 17, and even IU’s kickoff specialist, Derek McCormick with 16 reps at the bench.

Tuesday’s Pro Day featured NFL personnel from many teams, Hoosiers competing for a roster spot in the NFL, and Kurtis Rourke as the team’s cheerleader who was very uplifting and provided his teammates with even more confidence during their workouts. As the days go by, the NFL draft is approaching on April 24th. Until then, make sure to continue coming back to Hoosier Huddle to find out more news on Indiana Football.
