Indiana Adds Georgia Tight End Shaun Bonner on Final Sunday Before NSD

It was a busy Sunday afternoon for the Hoosiers as they received a second verbal commitment on the final Sunday before National Signing Day, this one coming from Georgia Tight End Shaun Bonner. Bonner, from Colquitt County High School, stands at 6-foot-3 and was previously committed to Georgia Southern. He is rated as a two-star prospect by 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Bonner told HoosierHuddle.com that he chose the Hoosiers because of "their offense, I like how they play." He cited that he'd fit in fell because IU runs a similar offense to the one he ran in high school. He "wants to bring [a] winning mentality and fun" to Hoosier football.
At tight end, Bonner can play with his hand on the ground or split out wide and is both physical enough to take on rushers and athletic enough to make the spectacular catch. He will benefit greatly from a redshirt season and a year in Keith Caton's strength and conditioning program. Bonner will give Indiana 15 total commitments for the class of 2016.
